So, without further ado, let\u2019s meet Candice.<\/p>\n

Candice, how did you start out in boudoir photography<\/a>?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

I started doing self portrait boudoir first and that kinda snowballed into others loving it and asking me to do it for them. I found a passion for it right away.<\/p>\n

Do you remember your first boudoir gig?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

My first gig was a beautiful woman from France who came all the way to see me.. Talk about pressure ha-ha.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s never easy starting out, what were some of the biggest challenges you faced before breaking out?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The biggest challenge was getting people to trust me. That quickly dissipated when they met me though \ud83d\ude42 I’m really outgoing and make them feel like I’m their best bud.<\/p>\n

What was the turning point when you thought to yourself that you can\u00a0turn this it into a business?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

I never thought about it actually, it kind of just happened. I\u2019m not one to stress about that kind of stuff. When I felt like I was getting enough clients that\u2019s when I turned it into a business. I tell people all the time, I\u2019m not really the business type, I’m the artist type! haha.<\/p>\n

What inspires you?
\n<\/strong><\/em>
\nMovement, hands, love, touch. There are so many things really. Right now it’s music that really says it for me. Anything from Hozier slays me.<\/p>\n

If you had to pick, what would be the best thing you love about shooting boudoir-style photos?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

I love looking at a woman as If I’m her lover. In those moments I’m in love with that person. I want to see everything. Their vulnerabilities, their insecurities, their laugh, their sadness. It’s so intimate and I love everything about intimacy.<\/p>\n

For those out there wondering, what does it really take to be a good boudoir photographer?<\/strong>
\n<\/em>
\nIt takes a good vision. Being able to see outside the box and being able to see light really well.<\/p>\n

Do you have any tricks for helping people feel comfortable and beautiful when you begin to shoot?<\/strong>
\n<\/em>
\nWe usually chat for a bit and laugh. I let them know right away that being beautiful isn’t about the clothes, it’s their attitude.. The moment I start I tell them how amazing they look. And bam, the confidence is born.<\/p>\n

For someone starting out, what are the 3 best pieces of advice you wish someone would have told you?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

1 . Shoot them how you see them.. not how you think others will.
\n2. It’s all about good light
\n3. Fuck it. Have fun and don’t give a rats ass if anyone likes it \ud83d\ude00
