JPEGmini Pro For Windows Can Now Optimize Photos Up To 128MP
We are pleased to announce that JPEGmini 2.0 is here with new features and improvements. The new version will help speed up your workflow so you can concentrate on the important stuff, like cleaning your gear.
For those who already own JPEGmini Pro, you’ll receive a prompt from within JPEGmini to download an update.
HIGHER RESOLUTION SUPPORT
JPEGmini Pro now supports resolution of up to 128MP covering most commercial cameras, including medium format and panoramas. So, if you were on the fence about purchasing either the Hasselblad H6D or the Phase One XF, or maybe both, but couldn’t because we previously only optimized photos up to 60MP, you’re good to go now
You can download a trial of JPEGmini Pro for free and run the unoptimized JPEG photo through! You can download the above 70.5 MB photo unoptimized by JPEGmini here and try it for yourself.
IMPROVED USER EXPERIENCE
JPEGmini 2.0 has a new modern look, yet it’s still super simple to use. Now when you simply drag and drop your photos, you can see how many photos were optimized, how much space you saved and what the total percentage saved by JPEGmini in one place.
Our new features are available for those running 64-Bit Windows.

Hi Mitch,
I’ve read in the FAQs in your home page that JPEGmini version which preserves all metadata when used as a PS extension is in your road map. However, I don’t know how old is this statement. Do you already know when we’ll get this feature?

Should be good. I use the LR version, but it will include any metadata I want. Surely PS is similar.
Unfortunately, PS isn’t similar. JPEGmini’s LR-plugin integrates very well into the export dialog in LR, PS extension doesn’t. It kills all the metadata included in the original image. The only working way around I found out is to save the original image as JPEG in 100% quality and to optimize (i.e. shrink) this JPEG in a second step using JPEGmini stand alone version. Not really ideal.
